Your healing journey starts when you reach out to us
The first step is to submit our contact form, or if it’s easier, you can call or text us.
Within 1–2 business days, a member of our team will reach out personally to gather a few important details, such as:
Whether you’d like to be seen in person in Tacoma or virtually anywhere in Washington State
What days and times typically work best for your schedule
What insurance plan you’d like to use, if any
We’ll use this information to verify your benefits and match you with the therapist who feels like the best fit for your needs and preferences.
Finding your fit
We know that the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation of healing and it’s important that you work with a therapist who is the right fit for you.
Once we’ve reviewed your information, we’ll:
Confirm whether we’re in-network with your insurance provider
Identify which therapist on our team is the best match for your goals and schedule
Offer the option to begin with either an initial appointment or a free consultation
You’re welcome to have your consultation with our Clinical Director, Mary Allison Jensen, LICSW, to discuss your goals and what you’re looking for, or directly with the therapist who may be your ongoing provider.
This step ensures that you feel supported and confident about starting your care with us.
Once we’ve confirmed your therapist and appointment time, we’ll send a secure link to complete your intake paperwork through our client portal.
These forms help us learn more about your history, your goals, and any immediate needs so your first session can be focused and meaningful.
After you’ve submitted your forms, our team will verify your insurance benefits and send you an email outlining:
Whether we’re in-network with your plan
Any anticipated out-of-pocket cost (based on your individual coverage and deductible)
We believe in transparency from the start, so you’ll know what to expect before your first appointment.
At your first session, your therapist will take time to get to know you — not just your symptoms, but your story, your strengths, and your hopes for therapy.
Together, you’ll begin mapping out goals and identifying the areas you’d like to focus on. We see this as the start of a collaborative relationship — one that’s guided by both evidence-based care and genuine human connection.
