Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy
Compassionate support during the transition to parenthood
Becoming a parent changes everything — your body, your sleep, your identity, your relationships, and the way you see yourself.
It can be beautiful and also incredibly hard. You might feel anxious, tearful, irritable, or disconnected from yourself or your baby. Maybe you’ve noticed intrusive thoughts, mood swings, or a quiet grief for the version of life that existed before. You’re not failing. You’re adjusting to something massive — physically, emotionally, and mentally.
At Tacoma Wellness Collective, we offer trauma-informed therapy for perinatal and postpartum mental health. Our therapists understand that this season of life can bring a mix of joy and depletion, clarity and confusion, love and loss — sometimes all in the same hour. We’re here to help you navigate it with compassion, steadiness, and support.
How We Help
Whether you’re planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, postpartum, or parenting young children, our therapists are trained in perinatal mental health and trauma-informed care. We tailor therapy to meet your specific needs, experiences, and pace.
Therapy that meets you where you are: In-person in Tacoma or online across Washington State, sessions are designed to fit your schedule and your energy — whether you’re holding a newborn or taking a break between feedings.
Specialized, evidence-based support: We help clients navigate postpartum depression and anxiety, birth trauma, fertility loss, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges of new parenthood.
Whole-person care: Our approach combines CBT, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed practices to help you regulate, rest, and reconnect with yourself.
A compassionate, judgment-free space: You can bring everything here — the love, the fear, the frustration, the fatigue. We’ll hold space for all of it with steadiness and respect.
What to Expect in Therapy
Therapy in this season starts small — often with slowing down enough to notice how you’re really doing. Together, we’ll identify what’s been hardest, explore what you need to feel more supported, and begin building realistic strategies for daily life and emotional regulation. Over time, you’ll strengthen your ability to meet yourself with compassion and find calm amid the chaos of early parenthood. Because caring for your babies well, starts with caring for yourself well.
You deserve to be taken care of, too.
When you’re ready, we’re here to walk beside you.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. Reach out today to take the first step toward care that’s grounded, transparent, and built around you. We would be honored to support you.
We’ll respond personally within 1–2 business days. No forms, no bots — just real people ready to help.
